Personal Level Trailer: Thinking Process

For my personal level trailer, I wanted to have a mix between a single and continuos shot as well as some in-game footage in order for the viewer to grasp the overall feel of the level before they go ahead and play it.  In order to help express this, I have the opening shot zoom away from the opening in the cave room. The camera then will slowly pan around the cave and once it reaches the exit I will start with the in-game footage. This will consist of the player stepping onto the porch and once it reaches the top I will cut back to a cinematic. This next shot will be of the second room and the camera will slowly zoom into the monkey artifact on the pedestal.

Trailer Inspiration

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild      I chose this game because of the way that it shows players the environment and uses it to tell a story. The lack of dialogue allows viewers to be engulfed by its beauty and the wonders that it holds. For the first quarter of the trailer you are unsure as to who this women is talking to and then when that person is revealed they are shown in more shots of the game. At the beginning this character was not shown at all. Overall this trailer does a marvelous job of connecting the viewer before introducing who the main protagonist is. Trailer Link
